Our mission is to become the benchmark club in the USL, recognized for its sporting excellence, its an impact on the community, and its an ability to develop elite players, inspiring new generations on and off the field.
- Port St. Lucie is an ideal location for a professional soccer club because it’s a vibrant and growing community, full of energy and passion for sports. The city’s stunning location on the Treasure Coast along the I-95/Turnpike corridor between Orlando and Miami, combined with its perfect climate for year-round training and play, makes it incredibly attractive for both players and fans.
- Beyond the fantastic weather, Port St. Lucie stands out as one of Florida’s fastest-growing cities. It is home to a diverse population with a deep enthusiasm for soccer. The city currently lacks a professional-level soccer facility, which presents a unique and exciting opportunity for us to become a key part of the community’s identity.
- Furthermore, our market research has revealed a large and untapped base of youth who are highly interested in the sport and are looking for a professional pathway. We aim to fill that void by providing the Treasure Coast youth with the high-level training and opportunities they seek, enabling them to develop their talent right here without leaving their
We will begin play in the USL League One, the third tier of professional soccer in the U.S., and plan to field a professional women’s team in the future. Our goal is to build an elite club with management and technical staff bringing extensive experience in international professional soccer. This will give us the ability to build competitive rosters and establish top-tier development programs for both men and women.
The name of the club will be the Port St. Lucie Sports Club.
We intend to kick off in the 2027 season with our men’s team and a professional women’s team will follow. At the same time, we will initiate our Sports Academy and community programs so we begin building our talent pipeline.
The club is owned by a founding group that includes Gustavo Suárez, Paulo Suárez, and Agostina Galimberti, along with a newly formed investment group that includes a number of strategic investors.
Our home games will be played at a new stadium to be constructed as part of a larger-use development in Port St. Lucie within Walton & One. The stadium will be designed to meet the highest standards of the USL. The stadium within Walton & One will have training and sports complex components in other areas of Port St. Lucie.
Our sports complex will feature top-tier soccer academies and state-of-the-art training spaces for multiple sports. It will bring high-performance sports centers to strategic locations around Port St. Lucie.
The entire project will be comprised of two proprietary facilities, designed to offer high-quality resources for our athletes, coaches, and the local community. This will be a multi-use hub that serves as a cornerstone for sports development and community engagement in the region. The first of these facilities will be the stadium at Walton & One. The development team is now exploring opportunities for a training facility in other areas of the city.
The sports complex will be the most comprehensive, soccer-focused destination in Florida. By attracting top players, clubs, and major events from across the state and drawing visitors from other cities, it will have a profound positive economic impact on the Treasure Coast, positioning Port St. Lucie as a premier hub for sports.
This project will be a true public-private partnership. Our financial foundation is built on a combination of private equity from our founding partners and capital from a select group of strategic investors. The local government is also deeply involved, having demonstrated its commitment through granting use of the land for the new stadium and sports complex, the prior investment in public infrastructure and in-kind support.
The exact timeline is still being finalized. Once we receive City approval, we can move quickly. The first phase—including a 6,000-seat stadium—is estimated to be completed within 18 to 20 months.
The development team and the City are working on identifying an ideal location outside of Walton & One for a training facility, which will be fully equipped to serve the needs of our professional and youth rosters.
Yes, we will. Our youth academy will be designed to develop players using a comprehensive and holistic methodology. Our goal is to ensure that local talent can progress to the first team, equipped with the necessary physical, technical, and mental preparation to succeed at the professional level.
Based on our economic impact analysis, we project a substantial increase in sports tourism, new job creation, and a significant boost in local investment. This will establish Port St. Lucie as a premier destination and a key hub for professional sports.
The City is deeply and enthusiastically involved in this project. They have demonstrated their commitment through granting use of the land for the new stadium and sports complex, and an active partnership in streamlining the permitting and construction processes. This level of collaboration and support is truly exceptional and underscores the City’s dedication to our shared vision.
