Port St. Lucie SC continues to build a forward-thinking player development model through its partnership with VIXON, an innovative U.S.-based sports technology company founded by Argentine entrepreneurs specializing in neurocognitive training solutions for athletes.
Player Development & Technology
Through this collaboration, the club will incorporate VIXON’s neuroscience-based evaluation technology to support the player assessment process, providing objective data on physical performance, reaction time, and decision-making abilities in game-like situations.
VIXON develops wearable training devices equipped with programmable and trackable LED systems that stimulate athletes’ cognitive functions while they perform sport-specific movements on the field. Unlike traditional cognitive training methods that occur off the field, VIXON technology allows players to improve reaction speed, perception, and decision-making within real game scenarios.
Implementation Begins with Academy Tryouts
During the club’s next Academy tryouts, this technology will support the technical staff by providing performance profiling and data-driven insights, complementing traditional scouting and coaching evaluations.
The partnership will allow training data collected during exercises to be transformed into actionable insights, helping coaches identify areas for improvement and refine future training programs.
