
Ready to bring soccer to the streets?
Welcome to the inaugural Buffalo Pro Soccer Street Cup, a 3-on-3 street tournament set to kick off in the shadow of the Queen City’s Cobblestone District (the parking lots behind 95 Washington St.) on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Set to be played across the parking lots, the Buffalo Pro Soccer Street Cup will be a fast-paced, high-scoring, and spectator-friendly event. Teams in boys and girls divisions for under 10, 13, 15, 17, and 19 years old will play games that run approximately 30 minutes (two 10-minute halves, split with a five-minute halftime) each; knockout rounds will be decided by Golden Goal rules; and the winning team in each division will claim the first Buffalo Pro Soccer Street Cup titles.
How many players will be on each team?
Each team will field six players, with three (3) starters and three (3) reserves.
Will participating teams need a coach or manager?
Yes. All entered teams will require one or the other, and that individual will need to be present with teams for all matches.
Will seating be available?
No. Spectators are asked to bring their own chairs.
Where will event parking be located?
There will be no parking available on-site, but nearby public lots, parking garages, and street parking should be utilized.
Will water be available for participants?
There will be water stations set up for the athletes, but everyone is encouraged to bring their own water.
Will medical support be on-site throughout the tournament?
Yes, emergency medical technicians (EMT) will be there to assist in the event of need.
Will food and beverages be available for spectators?
Yes.
