Port St. Lucie SC took a historic step forward this Sunday as the club’s Reserve Team made its official debut in the USL Academy League, earning a memorable 1-0 victory over FC Miami City.
In a match that marked the beginning of a new era for soccer on the Treasure Coast, Port St. Lucie SC delivered a disciplined and passionate performance, competing with intensity from the opening whistle and showcasing the club’s commitment to player development and the pathway to the professional game.

Suárez Scores The First Goal In Club History
The decisive moment came in the second half, when a cross from the right found Bryan Suárez inside the box. The forward connected with a powerful header that beat the goalkeeper and found the left corner of the net, securing the first win in club history at the USL Academy League level and sparking celebrations among players, staff, families, and supporters who have been part of the club’s journey since day one.

Beyond the result, the match represented another important milestone in the growth of Port St. Lucie SC and its long-term vision to create opportunities for local talent while continuing to strengthen the connection between the club and the community.

Port St. Lucie SC will now turn its attention to the second matchday of the USL Academy League season.The Reserve Team will travel to face Miami AC on June 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Kendall Soccer Park as the club continues its inaugural campaign in the South Florida Division.
