Port St. Lucie SC is set to host its USL Academy tryouts this weekend, welcoming young players from across the Treasure Coast to take the next step in their development.
The sessions will bring together players competing for a place within a high-performance environment aligned with USL Academy standards, guided by licensed coaches and a specialized performance staff, with participation limited to players who have completed the registration process in advance.
The academy program operates under the sporting leadership of Sporting Director Bernardo Romeo and Academy Director Juan Ignacio Brown, both recognized for their experience in professional soccer and elite player development.
This process represents a key step within the club’s Pathway to Pro, offering players a clear structure for long-term growth, competition, and progression within the game.

Eligible Age Groups
Players eligible to participate in this round of tryouts include:
- Youth Academy: 13-15 years old
- Youth Academy/Reserve Team 16-20 years old
- Reserve Team: 21-28 years old
Selection Criteria
The evaluation process will reflect the club’s high-performance standards and will include:
- Technical and Tactical Assessment
- Physical Performance Profiling
- Neuroscience-Based Evaluation designed to provide objective feedback on each player using Vixon™ technology
- Video capture and performance analysis to support the technical staff’s evaluation and player profiling process

The Port St. Lucie SC Academy is designed to provide a structured pathway for player development, combining professional methodology, competition, and long-term growth opportunities for young athletes in the region.
